Marjorie combines her love of painting with her passion for travel and exploration. Painting en plein air enables enables Marjorie to capture the atmosphere of a place, and brings authenticity to her work. When painting in the studio, she approaches the blank canvas with the same immediacy and spontaneity found in her plein air paintings.
Marjorie Taylor graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, spent 14 years as a graphic designer/illustrator, until she began to pursue her career as a Fine Artist 12 years ago. Marjorie studied oil painting under Lela Harty and has taken workshops with Kim English, George Strickland, John Asaro, Jove Wang, Carolyn Anderson, John Budicin, Ray Roberts, Mark Daily and Ned Mueller.
Marjorie lives in San Diego with her husband, Steve, and their dog, Maya.
